Patina turns the history in accounts you already own into a score that suggests how long a real person has been around. It is built on Vana's data-portability protocol but is an independent app, not operated, run, or endorsed by the Vana Foundation. Patina won their Vana Cup in August 2026, which is a competition result and not an endorsement.

Patina is built and run by one person, based in India. It is not a registered company, and nothing here should be read as implying a business larger than that. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India are where any dispute about them would be heard.

Connect only accounts that are genuinely yours. No bots, scripts, fabricated or purchased accounts, duplicate or Sybil accounts, and no signing up as several people. Breaking this gets the profile removed. Detecting fake history is the entire product, so it would be strange to allow it here.

The score is evidence about the history it can see, not a certificate that you are human, and not advice. Patina is provided as-is, may be wrong or unavailable, and may change or stop. Parts of it depend on Vana and on the platforms you connect, which we do not control.

Patina is free, and there is a limit to what a free thing can promise. If you use a Patina score to make a decision, that decision is yours. As far as the law allows, Patina is not liable for losses that follow from using it, from it being wrong, or from it being unavailable, and that includes lost business, lost profit and lost data. Nothing here limits anything that cannot legally be limited, and nothing here is an attempt to escape being honest with you.

How we handle what you connect, and how to delete it, is set out in the privacy policy. The short version: we keep only your score and the signals behind it, we never see a password, and you can delete everything yourself at any time.

We may update these terms as the app evolves. The date below moves when we do, and anything that materially changes will be said out loud, not slipped in quietly.
